My son has his heart set on a long-discontinued Lego Clone Wars set, and we are thinking of getting it for him for his 18th birthday in September. I have found a few for sale on !!!error: Indecipherable SUB-paragraph formatting!!! , used (new ones in the box are going for over $1,000) , supposedly complete, which I assume means with minifugures.
Do any of you Lego heads have any experience with Bricklink? Are there better ways to go?
For your time.....

Well, the photo has minifigs...
$183 < $1,000

Yes, but that doesn’t necessarily mean anything.

I have had nothing but positive experiences. Verify that seller has positive feedback. Their checkout system is pretty slick.

No need to go that crazy. Used is fine.

Always kinda wondered why there weren’t at least a few old Venators floating around in later movies...

TBH that’s a small model to pay a premium for. I’d rather a mellenium falcon in a current configuration.

There are other sets I’d rather have too, but it’s his birthday.

You need to wave your hand in front of him and say: This is not the set you are looking for.

I used to buy on Bricklink a ton (Lego hobby has since gone on hiatus). It was recommended to me by a local master builder, and I’ve always had great experiences buying there.

I had a good experience buying a long discontinued 9V system motor (the buggy motor). It took absolute ages to ship and was opened by customs and I had to sign forms at the post office but it got here unharmed. I'd recommend trying to source from US/Canada or western europe. The sellers location is listed on the site by the item

I was merely stating the obvious.

The one I linked ships from DK. So hopefully no issues. Thanks!
